Hedo Feminista Bibliography Instructions

Like our pre-volcano jungle community in Hawaii, the Hedonisia book projects are wild and growing. However, they are all in need of more editing, updates, and rewrites before publication.

One of the biggest areas we need help with is on our book bibliographies. We wish to update the Bibliography so that it is in line with publication guidelines and also for our research records.

When we did the original research we often got just basic information. Now we have to format this information properly into the bibliography:

  • Cougars instructions:
  • EcoFeminist Entrepreneur instructions
  • Natural Miscarriage ebook instructions

Bibliography Format & Instructions

We have a two-stage process for organizing our bibliography.

  1. Bibliography Spreadsheet: Main location for all bibliography details related to the book.
  2. Book Bibliography: This is the formatted bibliography ready for publication.

You can choose to work on either section. Just let us know so we can give you Editor status for that Google document

  1. Spreadsheet Format Instructions.

We want to gather all the bibliography information from our research and organize it properly into the spreadsheet format we have set up. If you like detailed organization then this is the job for you!

  1. Book Publication Format Instructions

If you choose this job you will be formatting the bibliography details we have into the specific format for the kind of source that is listed below:

  1. Book with one author:[19]

Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication.

  1. Book with two authors:[20]

Lastname, Firstname and Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication.

  1. Book with no known author:[21]

Title of Book. Place of publication: Publisher, Year of publication.

  1. Web page with author:[22]

Lastname, Firstname. “Title of Web Page.” Publishing Organization or Name of Website in Italics. Publication date and/or access date if available. URL.

  1. Web page without an author:[23]

Title of Web Page.” Publishing Organization or Name of Website in Italics. Publication date and/or access date if available. URL.

  1. Published Interview:[24]

Lastname, Firstname of interviewee, place where the interview was held, by Interviewer’s Firstname Lastname, date

Youtube Research. “Title of video.” YouTube, uploaded by Screen Name, day month year, www.youtube.com/xxxxx.

If the author of the video is not the same as the person who uploaded the video, your citation would be formatted as follows:

Author last name, First Name. “Title of video.” YouTube, uploaded by Screen Name, day month year, www.youtube.com/xxxxx.

Example of citation with different author and uploader:

Beyoncé . “Sorry.” YouTube, uploaded by BeyFan123, 17 December 2016, www.youtube.com/xxxx.

Example of citation with no known author or same author and uploader:

“Day in the Life.” YouTube, uploaded by janedoe, 19 December 2016, www.youtube.com/xxxx.

Your in-text citation will depend on whether you have the author’s last name. Basically, you will want to cite in-text whatever appears first in the citation on your Works Cited page. If you are referencing a specific part of the video, MLA format also requires that you specify the time in the video when that part begins.

In-text citation with author:

(Last name, 00:01:15 – 00:02:00).

Let us know which bibliography job you’d like and we will set up with Editor Access on that particular Google Doc.
